“Hatsu-moude” or the first visit to Shrines of Temples is the important habits for most Japanese. As people are not easy to go out this new year holidays, we suggest people to utilize remote worship support of some shrines and temples:
- Izumo Taisha Shrine, Izumo City, Shimane Pref. – it is said that the shrine is the place all gods in Japan gather every October.
- Musashi Mitake Jinja Shrine, Oume City, Tokyo – they pray for people who cannot visit the shrine and send them Omamori or lucky charms.
- Housenji Temple, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto – they pray for people in remote location by “Goma” ritual in which small wooden Goma stick is burnt in the Goma flame. Contact: info@kyoto-hosenji.jp
