“We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Japan.  This was our first time travelling to Japan and, because my husband is a wheelchair user, I wanted to find a company who would help us plan our trip and look after us while we were there.  From my first point of contact with Kuniyasu Nomura of Ohayo Travel Corporation, I was impressed by how much care and attention was taken to address our wishes and requirements.  He compiled a customised travel plan for us and included detailed information for each day, including the arrangements for where we would eat, and the names of our drivers and guides.  Prior to flying out to Japan, we had a Zoom call with him to go through the plan and adjust it as necessary.  Then, when we arrived in Japan, he met us in our hotel lobby and presented us with a folder containing our itinerary and useful local information as well as our pre-booked train tickets for the Shinkansen and our IC cards which were pre-paid.  He also arranged for me to have the use of a portable WiFi unit for the duration of our stay.

 

We split our time between Tokyo and Kyoto and each day we were picked up in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle and the driver arrived promptly each day.  We also had an English-speaking local guide in each venue.  It really made all the difference having a guide to facilitate getting around the cities and visiting all the attractions.  We were able to do so much more and it was exciting to use the trains to get around.  Our itinerary included day trips to Mount Fuji, Nara and Osaka and we visited many of the major shrines and temples in both Tokyo and Kyoto.  

 

The whole trip was so successful due to the careful planning by Kuniyasu and the liaison between himself, the guides, the drivers and ourselves.  We felt completely relaxed and safe and this meant that we could thoroughly enjoy our experience.  I highly recommend this company.
